It's not my rig, and it ain't no SMB, but I LOVE the bonzai tree and holder at the end.

Climbers are notoriously dirtbags. Will camp illegally to avoid $4 tent fees. Will eat, well, anything to avoid paying money. The especially funny part of it is that 40% of climbing dirtbags are unemployed living the dream, while 60% are fully employed with large disposable incomes. It's a personality thing.
So, getting to the point: "stealth" van means they can live in it, sleep in it, etc all over the place, like, say, the parking lot of the Ahwahnee hotel in Yosemite Valley instead of paying the $4 tent fee at Camp 4.... Stealth is key when you're on the cheap!

Thanks for the explanation. I've felt like a dirtbag from time to time, stealth camping in my SMB. But no way I'd climb a rock. Fear of heights. Actually fear of falling from heights.

+1000.
I have enough "fear" w/ going really fast downhill over a bumpy slope on my mountain bike and wiping out. I can't imagine falling vertically from any height!

It's not so much the fear of falling from heights, as the fear of impacting the ground after falling from heights.

Right, it's not the bullet, it's the hole.
