2000 Quigley Quadra-Version

Hi -

Potentenial newbie SMB owner, and I think I finally found the one to make an offer on. Almost all the options I am looking for.

It is a 2000 F350 EB with a Quigley Quadra - Version conversion. I have seen enough "Quigley problems" in my research on this great site to be gun shy. Don't want to spend my first ownership with recurring issues after dropping a chunk of change, but opinions are all over the place.

Hate to pick at a scab, I know the Quigley v. SMB v. Salem Kroger v. whatever has been beat to death... but if there is serious issues with this year Quigley conversion, I could use the heads up. This SMB seems lightly used and well take care of.

I understand details are needed, steer me in the right direction. Thanks for any input.

- Tom

Re: 2000 Quigley Quadra-Version

I have a 2000 and really like the ride and handling. The one big thing is to make sure that they have changed out the C channel bars to the front to tube type. Not a big deal to call Guigly and get them.

I like my all-Ford parts 1995 Quigley just fine. My mechanics also like the all-Ford aspect. Quigley has been converting to 4wd for a mighty long time. You should be just fine with it.

The never-ending wishlist that comes with these toys is what you should be wary of

We have a 2001 Quigley. Except for the need to swap out the C channels, no problems...

The only issue I've had with my Quigley is the lack of upward wheel travel and that the van hits the bump stops more often than I would like. Beyond that its been very reliable.

Re: 2000 Quigley Quadra-Version

My family currently owns three Quigleys and I personally have owned three previously with great results . They are not as aggressively outfitted as the SportsMobile but will give you many years of reliable service with proper maintenance and can be repaired at FORD dealerships more readily than the SportsMobiles . Make the minor changes previously mentioned and you will have a very nice Van to enjoy for years to come .

I own a 2001 E350 Quigley with 280,000 miles 7.3 diesel. Quigley's are awesome but when you buy a older one expect to replace some things.
The Front Ends always need something...tie rod ends, sway bars, and yes replace the c bracket arm to the new tube style.

Don't forget to email Quigley with the vehicle's VIN number and they'll email back to you what all they did to it originally including blow up diagrams of parts.

Re: 2000 Quigley Quadra-Version

I just replaced the calipers, rotors and some steering components on my 99 Quigley set up. Very expensive as at least for that year most of the parts are only available from Quigley.
