No but when you do please post the info. So far for all motor and oil changes etc I have taken mine to Kirkland Ford. I have changed my Atlas oil myself and I would prefer a 4x4 shop to look at that stuff if needing repairs. I know there is olympic 4x4 (monroe), Central 4wd in Kent, and Auburn truck and offraod. My brother had a lift kit put on his Toyota at central 4wd and it went well. I don't know anything else about these shops at all.

For driveshafts and stuff like that, I use Precision Driveshafts in Kirkland, don't know if they do TCs.

Thanks Anzac, I'll give them a call, sure beats driving to Kent or Snohomish.

Re: 4 wheel drive repairs in Seattle Area

I took my van to Central 4x4 in Kent to have Bilsteins and deavers quoted. They had no idea what they were looking at. They check out my van, liked it but said they would have to do the research, they never got back to me with a quote. I am guessing they either figured I was not serious, which I was or they did not know what or how to work on a van.

Either way I never went back down there. If anyone has had them do work I would be curious to hear. I am still looking for the Bilstein & Deaver upgrade along with perhaps a Banks Exhaust kit to add on...

My maint. has been done at the Ford Dealer in Kent, they don't know %$#& about 4x4 vans though.

Most dealers don't have a clue about about the 4x4 system.

I did have kirkland Ford look at my differentials since it was puking oil when I had the transfer hubs engaged. They found I was missing the overflow tube. I installed that myself and changed the diff fluid myself too. Kirkland Ford also said they would do a full front hub service but for $350 and of course they are not that familiar with the Dana 60 since they come off an older Ford.

I have yet to find a place that will do the 4x4 service.

Re: 4 wheel drive repairs in Seattle Area

I had a leak from the rear seal of my transfer case and took it to Accutran Transmission in Burien http://www.accutransmissions.com/. They did a great job and I have had no problems since the work was done about 15K miles ago. I have also had them work on the clutch and rear axle of my Jeep and they have always been great. Garry the owner has been running the business since the 70's and has a great reputation.

Cheers,
John
