4x4 conversion on a Ford E-350 - price?

Hello everybody,

I could get my hands on a solid 1997 Ford E-350. Unfortunately it's a 2WD. Do you have an estimated number what a conversion to a 4WD would cost?

I'm living in Switzerland - so US prices won't really fit, but are a good indication for me.

Thanks for your help
Mike

I think a UJoint full conversion would be around $15,000 USD done in his shop.

It's much closer to $20K USD (and could be higher depending on the axle build you want) when all said and done if done at his shop.

Ok, I feared it was that much. Let's see what comes up... Thanks for the information.

There are many cheaper options than UJOR. Full conversions can be done for about half that by Agile or CCV, and there are DIY options that are cheaper as well..

Quadvan in Portland Oregon is in the $10-$12,000. That is for a factory Ford front assembly.

They have also done several for EU export, with full TUV compliance before shipping. They had one going to Germany the last time I visited. I'd be wary of other conversions being able to pass inspection.

To be exact: That was my Sportsmobile.
We know each other from forum.buschtaxi.net.

I just can recommend John/Quadvan.
