For those of you that have 4x4 vans (not SMB or Class B RV), how are you insuring the value of your van? Are you adding a specific amount as modification value or are you insuring an agreed value? It might even be the same thing, but I wanted to confirm what other people are doing.

I'm using the safeco recommended guy from this forum. I told him I wanted 27k if I stack my smb up. He was able to write it no issues. So I'm assuming non smb would work the same. I know my last ins company would only let me cover 1500 in mods with receipts....

I'm guessing you have an RV policy though, right?

Is your van your daily driver? Just curious because if you insure it as an RV, the annual premium is like half of what a regular auto would be...mainly because you wouldn't be driving it very often and not put many miles on it a year.

It's not a DD, but they couldn't do RV ins for some reason I can't recall. I think maybe the plumbing or lack thereof.
hmmm so after reviewing my quote from Justin it looks like my van would be insured as a RV that being said DerPo you might want to check your policy again because if it is insured as an RV you have more options then just Safco.
