Advanced 4x4 conversion question

Hello everyone, I have a 1993 E-250 Sportsmobile that was converted by Advanced 4x4 in SLC around year 2000. I am just wondering if anyone on here is familiar enough with Advanced conversions in that time period to get me heading in the right direction for replacing steering (front end components)? In other words, if I go to NAPA auto parts, is there a make and model of vehicle that these parts were OEM parts on, or does Advance make custom parts in house? Thanks for any insight

You probably have a Dana 50. Try a ‘97 F350 for the the outboard parts. All the inboard parts are probably stock.

There is a good chance that there are some custom parts from Advanced 4x4. They helped me with a replacement drag link and tie rods last year on our 1997 conversion.

ADvanced 4x4 SLC custome ABS rings

In my case found out the hard way that front end ABS rings are custome-made... took it to a shop in northern Louisiana, the took all day to replace brake stuff since they wanted to work it their way instead of ordering what Randy had sent info on... the lost one of the original ABS rings during all that and the sensor light has of course been on forever. So best to call in the shop in SLC to confirm parts, use the shop serial label on the driver door frame or your VIN.

Fortunately, Advanced is still in business. If you call with your build date, you will get accurate part numbers. I just replaced every wear part, and got correct part numbers either off the top of his head, or within one day by email. My build has a D44, but I think some got D60's.

Like Arctictraveller said - contact Advanced and pepper them with questions. If you're in the SLC area, even better - go by there

I have an Advanced conversion 2008 E-350 with a D60. Mine had Chevy 1500/Hummer H2/Suburban Front calipers and disks......since upgraded to stock calipers and E450 disks. There are misc Moog problem solver tie rods and custom made panhard bar etc so there is plenty of non-std stuff under there.

Post a few pics of your front axle......

When I overhauled my Advanced conversion, all the part numbers I was given were in stock at my local parts store, but I couldn't say what they were from.

I also have an advanced 4x4 converted van 2007 E-350. The front brakes are from a chevy truck and one of the tie rod ends is a moog DS879.
I do have a question about the sway bar, I took some pictures today (noticed one is broken) does anybody know the design, I'm trying to find some bushes to fit inside the cone to stop the bar from rattling, current item not working too well.

That's the stock E-series sway bar, but instead of going through the axle like stock, they moved is forward, and welded some tube-steel to the face of the axle to act as "cups" to hold the sway bar. You can probably cut a new one yourself and grind it to fit. Or if you want to cope it perfectly, one way is to buy a hole-saw to match the diameter of the axle, put it in a drill press, and use that to cut the end of the tube.
