Seems low to me. I got new custom springs front and rear and new shocks and it was around $5k installed.

There are so many variables with a DeQuig..... That does sound a bit cheap. I couldn't/wouldn't do it for that! Don't put yourself in the same (or worse) situation.

Hi,

My Advanced conversion from 1985 used rear blocks. Expect blocks as opposed to new leafs for that quote.

Regards,

Gavin

Garage
Coming from a recently DeQuiglified rig, keep saving up your $$ and do it right with a call to Chris. You will not regret it

What are the implications of putting leaf springs on a Quigley conversion and lifting to 6 inches? What could go wrong?

Spring rates, shocks, steering & trac bar fitment/angles, how will the existing axle be converted to leaf, etc.

Every Advance conversion I've seen has F series take out springs and thats not the best way to improve the ride or handling.

What have you done to improve the ride of your existing Quigley setup?

All I've done is replaced worn out parts. Recent work includes:
-Front outer Axle U-Joints
-Left and right Front Outer Tie Rod End Replaced
-New brakes all around
-Sway Bar Bracket Bushings replaced
-Rebuild of rear differential
-New front drag link and stabilizer shock.

I've only ever had the death rattle while braking on steep hills around 40mph.. I haven't had it recently so I'm hoping it's fixed.. My goal in the deQuiglifcation is really just to safely get a 6 - 8 inch lift on the van while improving ride on and off road. I'm open to any and all suggestions.

Why do you want 1 to 3 inches more lift?

What size tires are you running now and what do you want to run after the "lift".

32's. I really like the look of the bigger lift with 33's.
