Advanced 4x4 "DeQuiglification"

So out of curiosity I contacted Advanced 4x4 here in SLC and asked what it would cost to "DeQuiglify" my van and upgrade to a leaf spring front end and 6 in lift. While I'm not super mechanically inclined, his estimate seemed a little low to me.. Am I missing something?

Randy's response:
"You will need to do the front and rear. Also, adding extra lift will require a little more as well. The total cost (without looking at the vehicle) will be approximately $2800.00"

Yeah, that is really low and I wonder if something did not get communicated correctly.

If you think about it, they will use the existing axles. It's essentially remove the coils and add the leafs. Could be a valid price.

Anyone know what the downsides and upsides would be in doing this? Would it permanently fix the threat of "death wobble" given all other front end components are in good shape?

What would they have to do to the rear?

Either type can have wobble for any number of reasons.

I'm not sure what the advantage would be.. I'd just fix your Quigley and save a bunch of money.

Probably referring to any adjustment in height using blocks with changing the front.

Seems that aftermarket leaf springs are in the $1,000 and up range. If they put new leafs on both ends, that would eat up a lot of that estimate. Then the cost for the front hangers, mods to the existing front axle, and new shocks since ride height would be changed, seems the estimate is low. If they only put a block in the rear and don't change out the shocks, then it seems it could be doable.
