Advice on what my van is worth?

Hello all.

I am going to sell my van and was hoping to get a bit of feedback on what it might be worth?

2007 Ford E-350 4x4 Diesel
- 6.0L that has been bullet-proofed, EGR delete, aftermarket oil cooler, chip
- Quigley 4x4
- 50k original miles- ZERO mech issues
- new wheels/ tires
- nice stereo system with hands-free and back-up cam
- large inverter w/ 3rd battery

Not much to show inside. I put in a bench seat that folds flat. I haven't done much else inside. Was planning a platform behind the seat to create a queen-sized bed, but haven't done it. I have two nice windows to add to the back, but haven't put them in yet. I will likely install those before I put it for sale.

I was thinking $40k, but these vans seem to be all over the map, so not sure- hence why I am asking here. Similar note- any req's on best places to list ( besides the obvious- Here, CL and Marketplace) to get the best exposure for the $$?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I agree that van asking prices are all over the map. You van is very basic, so there's not much value beyond that it's a van, is 4WD, and has super low miles. On the other hand, it's a clean slate for someone looking to build out a camper van and not have to remove/repair a bunch of poorly installed mods.

I know with the demand, some people are asking crazy high prices, and while they sometimes sell for far more than I'd ever thought possible, others will sit and sit on the market and then people wonder what's wring with them.

I think you set a reasonable target price.

I agree, good starting point. You’ve sorted the main issue with bullet proofing the 6.0 and you’ve got a nice set of Fuel wheels on there for some bling…..GLWS

The price probably depends a little on where you are located. 50k miles and 12 years old is a lot different here in Michigan/rust belt vs California or Colorado.

Thanks for all the input- really appreciate it.

Good news on the location. I am in Oregon- not a speck of rust on it.

With my extremely limited knowledge of diesel engines I'd list exactly what went into the "bullet proofing" and if possible who did the work.

That's become such a wide spread phrase and isn't too specific, some unfamiliar with the term might find it useful.

Just an observation mind you.

Think JWA is right - many elude to the engine being bullet proofed but skipped replacing the Head studs to save on cost. Keep in mind, even though I think it looks like its a nice rig & well kept (from the two pic's anyway) the EGR delete may narrow your audience since in many states having it is a requirement.
