Anyone running Firestone Destination M/T's?

Looking into replacing my D rated BFG's soon and have been checking out different brands. I was leaning towards Toyo Open Country's but I ran across the E range Firestone Destination M/T. Anyone have any experience running these on our festively plump rigs?

Re: Anyone running Firestone Destination M/T's?

I don't have any experience with them, but those actually have nice specs and I probably would have considered them too had I known about them. I just put my second set of Toyo MT on given the off-road performance of the first set. Aside from max load rating (and at what PSI - I want that max load at 65PSI), side-wall was equally important. I have been amazed at the side-wall punishment the Toyo's hold up to and from what I could find on the internet, could not get comfortable with any other tires side-wall capability.

The Firestone tires are nicely priced too. If you get them, I'll be curious to here your review of them.

Re: Anyone running Firestone Destination M/T's?

Recently got them and so far they are great. These will be my winter tires, as I got them double studded (3-2 pattern). The MT are better than the AT for studding, because of the larger area to drill and stud, otherwise MT aren't great in ice/snow. Wide tire are also tend to float on ice/snow, but not much choice as I didn't want a narrow tire to support our "festively plump rigs". Nor was I able to find much on the market that was a 315, 10 ply, E rated. So far they handle superb in the ice/snow and the noise at highway speeds not to bad (about the same as the BFG).
