Atlas shifter sight tube

Hi,

Have Atlas 2 shifter without the sight tube. Wondering if folks recommend those? Talked to Advanced Adapters and they mentioned them getting ripped out when 4X4ing... Just finished dealing with transfer case bolts at output casing (original bolts has factory applied sealant to bolt thread) seeping. Replaced with new bolts and RTV. So don't want to add if general consensus is people can take em' or leave em'.

Thanks!

Garage
I ordered a new sight tube from them a couple months ago, I could barely read the level through the old one even with a flashlight.
I like to check mine periodically to make sure the level isn’t going down (have a thin piece of tape identifying where the level should remain). If you are used to inspecting this, then it’s comforting to know where you stand. If you don’t monitor it, then guess it doesn’t really make a difference.

FWIW, I've had my Atlas sight tube on my Bronco for over 20 years now without a problem other than the zip tie marking the problem lubrication level has fallen off more than once. likely due to old age.
