Axle leak ?

My 2007 SMB conversion has gear oil leaking out of the passenger hub behind the tire. I have checked the oil level in the front diff and it wasn't low last time I looked, but the puddle is getting bigger in the driveway.

Has this happened to anybody else? Any idea how hard it is to replace the diff seal? Anybody know any good axle shops in San Diego?

Grease or oil from the diff? I have the dyna track full floater. No seal, it's silicone. I understand that they are working on a seal. Mine was throwing crap. My diff cover was leaking also and SMB replace the seal. Yours should be under warrantee. Maybe they will cover the cost if a local does it for you.

Leak fixed!

So I called SMB, and they called Dynatrack and they called a local shop, MIT Drivetrain in El Cajon, who replaced the inner seal at the differential for free.

So I am happy, and if you need drivetrain work in San Diego area, MIT has a nice shop with all sorts of custom 4x4 things going on.
