Me, too. I've always liked the BFG TKO's, particularly from the perspective of a Colorado mountain resident. They perform great in snow and on icy roads, as well as dirt/gravel/rocks. However... last time I ran them on my K2500 GMC p/u, they wore out FAST - I think I only got about 40k miles. Shared this observation with friends who had big diesel trucks, and they concurred that they didn't last long in the heavy weight/high torque application. I've been told the KO2 has a more firm tread compound, so I hope these last a little longer. Lately, though, I've read great reviews about the Coopers, such as this

One thing I just don't think any other tire manufacturer competes with is the sidewall thickness/strength of the BFG's. "Big deal", you might say, until you rip sidewalls on rocks, roots, or the like. You only have to do that once to never forget it...
