Re: Broken Springs, Help!

Jack, The springs cost about $550 the pair. Shackles were $100 from SMB. Labor will vary from shop to shop, but figure about 3 hours at shop rate. A few bucks for new unbolts and hardware. And the cost of fuel to the shop.

Are you offering to help him pay for the springs?

BTW, I'm willing to share the cost of several of my upgrades.

Mike
Yes I was. Let me just grab some loot from my money tree in the backyard.

Re: Broken Springs, Help!

Hi, Just getting ready to order from Deaver, new springs and bilstiens to have dropped shipped up north where I can install them.

Any negatives about Deaver? I had only heard good up till now. I am not looking to raise the ride hieght any further though I was told by Jeff to expect 1-2" which seems like a lot.

My springs appear to have negative camber on the RH front and LH rear, plus the ride is poor at 60000 miles. The van does not sit level or symetrically.

The new shocks will replace the original EMU's.

Opinions pls.

Thanks-

Broken Springs, Help!

I really like my deavers, they are very good at getting info before the build as far as front/back weight and weather the van sits level side to side and front to back. They do have you take measurements as far as where the van sits now and where you would like the van to ride. You will like the end result, I felt it was well worth the cost. There are a few custom spring shops around me but felt that because deaver had experience building springs for other SMB's I went with them vs. others. Good luck.
