All the custom 4WD converter's are busy. The better ones even more so. You will find the same situation in every hobby these days.

The economy is good and people have LOT'S of money to spend on things they want and certainly do not need!

As far as I know, my GMC Quigley uses GM transfer case, differential, shafts, hubs, and control arms. Stock van upper control arms and truck lower control arms. Weldtec's coilover conversion uses custom control arms, but I believe they are now also doing torsion conversions although I don't know about GM control arms.

Advanced is a good choice but thought I'd throw in there Clydesdale in BC Canada, the dollar exchange is crazy good in your favor, for example if the conversion is $15k CAD, thats only $11,100 USD. Might be worth coming up to see western Canada

There is additional 12% tax on Clydesdale price quote, so between the tax and the fuel/time/effort/hotels/ flights, it's not such a good deal for people in US.

Compare this to Timberline, the base conversion price is $13,500 and no tax if you are not a Colorado resident.

I would go with Weld Tec. I tried having Advanced install a rear diff for me. They set an appointment for me, I dropped off the van and they never touched it. I guess they had some techs out sick. They told me they would reschedule. Any way, after numerous attempts to get back in and their lack of communication, I went else where. I have some Weld Tec components on my van, and they were easy to work with.

there are numerous threads on this forum regarding work done at advanced. none are positive. one phone call to him was all I needed to realize that place was not for me, then I saw the threads here and all the bs those members went through and I was glad I held out till I found a 4wd van.

ive never seen anything negative about Jeremy at weld tech. his work looks amazing and hes active on this forum and expo.
