Coil front suspension 4x4 conversion identification

Hi,

Can someone tell me how to spot the differences between the various coil sprung front 4x4 conversions?

I suspect the Dodge I'm looking at was done in the mid 1980's. It has no locking hubs, but the transfer case shifter shows various combinations with "lock" added. ie 2wd lock and 2wd

Thank you.

Regards,

Gavin

Need some pictures...

No lock hubs or no hubs at all? Is there a hub up front or just a big hex nut?

Sounds like a Dodge front axle and T-case application. How many lugs on the hub?

It's an eight lug setup. The owner is living in the non digital past so photos are few. I have someone else looking at it, but don't know what sets the coil front ends apart. The transfer case and lack of locking hubs sounds like an old Ramcharger I had.

... or a Dodge 3/4 or 1 ton 4x4 which had no lock hubs and looked like your Ramcharger's axle, only bigger.
