They do that to save money, & so people that want to rotate the axle for better pinion angle can use the same axle without underfilling it. Many aftermarket covers are like that.

I can understand that, but in my case, I'd rather have my Ford cover back. Most junk yards don't want to sell just the cover to a rear end. It's just a PITA where it doesn't need to be.

You can be anything you want on the Internet,
it amazes me that so many choose stupid....
They should have 2 fill holes IMO. 1 for reg setups & 1 for rotated setups. Or at least include the fill amounts for stock set ups, so you are sure you have enough but not too much fluid.
