East Coast (northeast) 4x4 conversion facilities??
I've been wondering something.
Other than SMB Indiana (11 hours from me) and Quigley (Manchester, PA - 2 hours from me), is there any other facility that'll do a 4x4 (or lift) conversion of a Sportsmobile around these parts?
It seems there aren't many choices out this way, since the 4x4 "option" tends to be more popular (and necessary) out west more.
Thanks for any input.

SMB Indiana doesn't do that, neither does Texas.

You can get a 4wd van from any of them. The conversion will either be done by Quigley or SMBW and then shipped to Huntington or Austin.

Oh, OK. I get it now.
Would I have to pay for the shipping back and forth just to get a 4x4 model?

Ford will ship it to somewhere in the US for the standard shipping fee. I believe Quigley will get it to SMB for no extra charge. If you had SMBW do a 4wd conversion, you probably would have to pay to ship it to SMBI if you wanted it there.
It gets a little more complicated, depending on what emissions requirements you have and where it is shipped to. I had my van shipped to SMBI, but needed CA emissions. The Ford dealer Indiana uses didn't think it could be done. I had to contact Ford, get the option codes and give them to SMBI to get the van ordered correctly. If you have a van shipped to CA and don't want or need CA emissions, you may have to do a similar thing.
