Van looks great. Glad that this test run was positive and is providing valuable info to continue this kits development.

From my conversation with Quigley, it seems that Quigley will no longer convert Transits, UNLESS the Transit is ordered with Quigley 4x4 at time the van is purchased via a Ford dealership.

The reason I was given is that the Quigley conversion adds 325 lbs, mostly to the front axle. Quigley said they don't want to deal with the possibility/liability that their added 4x4 gear would cause an already-modified vehicle to exceed its GVWR limit. And, my guess is that Quigley doesn't want the extra hassle of checking vehicle weights given that are already swamped with conversion orders on brand new Transits.

Especially given the above, I am excited about MG bringing a new 4WD option to the Transit market.

4x4 Transit prototype parts fresh off the CNC...

This is one of a few parts needed for spacing the transfer case a bit back from the trans so all this new stuff will fit in the not-a-lot-of-space there is to work with. The shaft that makes up the gap between the trans and t-case is designed and I have it out for a few quotes right now. I'm super stoked that some steels and specialty steels have doubled or tripled in price right as I start to have parts made

At long last, the first Transit with the Expovans 4x4 conversion is assembled and ready for fun!

I'm working on an extensive write up about the components and conversion process but I thought I'd share a teaser pic with y'all.

The good news is that, with our kit, converting a Transit to 4x4 is not that difficult. Designing the kit and all of the custom components was a big challenge and manufacturing parts has been a challenge but the conversion process is pretty straight forward if you're mechanically inclined (I'd argue that it's easier to convert than an Eseries).

More to come...
