OKAY --- just noticed, "EarthCruiser" and "EarthRoamer" are two very different companies and products. For anyone else who was confused (like I was.)

The OP originally was linking to an EarthCruiser page/concept, not an EarthRoamer.....as I mistakenly referred to it as....
(EarthRoamers are the ungodly monstrous school-bus-sized "Expedition Vehicles" that look like they would struggle to get out of a parking lot.)

I actually really like the EarthCruiser builds. They look rugged, capable, space-efficient and logically/functionally designed for the person who truly wants to "overland"....(not just go to the "Khaki Convention" in a muddy parking lot (the Overland Expo) like the EarthRoamers appear to be built for.)

EarthCruiser engineers/builds a stand-alone slide-in for pickups that is pretty darn nice. (The "GZL" that wish41 was mentioning having seen.)

Posts 8,9 and 10 pretty much sum it up. I have absolutely no idea why anyone would want one. I guess I'm just a sold out van guy.

Kinda surprised that EarthRoamer hasn’t sued EarthCrusier for trademark infringement yet...

Seriously! The two names are uncomfortably close.

If they do indeed get sued, EarthCruiser could easily change their name to one of these fine (and totally not similar-sounding) alternatives:

EarthTrekker
EarthWanderer
EarthRambler
EarthTrotter
EarthTripper
EarthSkipper
Earth....

I'd rock that big bastard if I had the cash, since I had the cash to rock that big bastard I wouldn't give a hoot what anyone thought or said lol
But since I don't have any cash... I'll jump on the hate wagon too.
Not.

I still like the EarthRoamers.

Back to the F-350 EarthCruiser vehicle. Looks like they are putting the first one together. I wonder if SMB could have done a box like this on the back of the E-350 van. Opens up more interior options than duplicating the van body. The traveling height of this might be just over 8' or so with the pop top down. And you can have the 650 pounds of torque to pull whatever you want.

I like the notion of a pass-through in the description on their site.

I don't know, there is an ever thinner line being drawn between those vehicles and this.
