That's the first thing that occurred to me as well. Nice to have railroad ties lying around in the middle of nowhere.

Re: Found in Baja

... any ideas I may have had for an ambo-conversion just went the way of that axle...

Re: Found in Baja

I'm just waiting for someone to blame it a 6.0

I do hope they were able to find help and get home safely.

Re: Found in Baja

Was it a bad bearing they kept driving until total failure?

Re: Found in Baja

Pretty sure that's a Ujoint front bumper - maybe one of his conversions ?

Re: Found in Baja

It is one of UJOR conversion, I remember following his build last year. I have to agree with Zeta though, seems like a bad bearing (or...) and they tried to limp it to a safe place instead of fixing the issue right away. That's quite the carnage though!

What puzzles me is that they left the generator, chairs & table, wheels all out. I know if it was me I would have locked everything inside, just too tempting for the opportunist...

Wish them well.

Cheers
Mr. D
