Front rotors

Can someone share some info with me please?
Im looking at replacing my front rotors on my 2005 Ford 4x4 with the usual dynatrac front end. I know the SMB store sells replacement rotors, but from what little I've heard it sounds like you can use any basic ford 8 lug rotors? So is this some what true? Can I order proper rotors from Ford or any other sort of parts house or do I need the "dynatrac" specific rotors?
Thank you

Yes, but the holes have to be drilled out. 7/8" or 11/16", can't remember which.

And for those with Quigleys that may want to do front rotors. Call Quigley. My Ford van has a 1985 Chevy 1 ton front end...

Does anyone have a direct fit part number for front rotors for the dynatrac front ends they put in 2005 SMB west builds? Either original dynatrac or a equivalent proper front rotors and pads. Or a good place to get these from? I know the SMB store has them, I was just hoping to buy local if possible.
Thank you.
Tracey.

It's in the sticky. Rotors: '95-'98 F-350 4x4, stud holes must be drilled to 21/32" for our larger studs. Auto Specialty part #DA 601125-D.

You will have to wait for a long time if you ordered through the SMB store. You could contact Dynatrac directly. Otherwise, just get rotors from NAPA and drill them out.

Wait there is a sticky about this. Dang my search skills suck. LOL
I would like to get them direct from dynatrac but even they are not sure which ones I have. Apparently the number on my axle tube is not clear enough for me or them to reference it properly. Frustrating trying to source parts for a custom built van.
Thanks Joe!

Talk to Steve. There's only two choices. The smaller rotor or the bigger one. You most like have the smaller one. Steve Marrone smarrone@dynatrac.com

How did it go Tracy, find anything out?

Part of my post above was cut off when I copied and pasted. The part # is 1995-98 Ford F350/Auto Specialty AR8553/ Dynatrac # DA601125-D.

In 2008 they went to the bigger brakes so that dynatrac rotor is: DA601125-AS.

Easy to know which one you have. The bigger one is 14.53". Both have 0.656" stud holes.

That helps a ton!
I'm working with Steve, I'm sure I have the small ones like you said being it's a 2005!
Just got back from a Alamo lake trip and worked the heck out of those rotors trailering all the fun toys down the hill! I'm gonna order themnup this week!
Thanks again Joe, I will let you all know what I get.

Right on Tracey! Here's a vote for Hawk LTS pads if your doing new ones to go with the rotors.
