Air lockers give the driver the choice of what to have for certain situations. Ours has electric lockers f & r & there have been times when I could not make a turn while the front was locked up, so I just un-locked it, made the turn, relocked it & went on my way. I am a BIG fan of choices & options. LOL

Well both axles ended up being fully rebuilt wilth all bearings and seals, ring and pinions, and Trutracs. I knew the rear was going to need a new R&P but when I got them apart the front had spun a Pinion bearing so everything ended up new. Changed the Front unit bearings to SRW and switched the rear wheel studs to match the front.
