Once you go test drive an AWD Transit this conversation will pretty much be over.
I just got back and from test driving one. Boy is that thing peppy, I find the turbo lags a little bit though. Night and day driference, I followed the same track with my E350 on the way home, a lot more bumpy.
Wife already approved the purchase so I may do some more research on it before I pull the trigger.

Those itty bitty turbos lag? Isn’t it the same setup as the f150? Only lag I noticed in the f150 was the drive by wire delay. Now I’m curious if their different. I assumed they would be identical.

To me, the EcoBoost Transit has lazy transmission tuning. The engine comes up on boost fast but all the fun is lost in early shift points and late converter lock up. Mechanically the engine is the same as the 1st gen F150 engines but the PCM is different...de-tuned compared to the other applications the engine was used in. There’s tons of potential in tuning if you can find a tuner who knows where it’s hiding.
