So... do they make a D60 version to replace the coil sprung axle on the newer F-series? Besides ball joints and hubs... would it be worth the extra cost vs stock Ford?

I'm doing some light shopping now. I have 4.56 gears so by the time a re-gear a junkyard F-series axle, and redo the ball joints and unit bearings, I'd already be into the cost of a brand new Ford/Dana axle. And I want an air locker in it. Should I be considering Dynatrack instead? No heavy rock crawling planned, but front axle does top 5,000 pounds sometimes, and rocky dirt roads are sometimes taken at freeway speeds.
I don't think they have an axle to replace the new F series, but you may want to call & verify. You'll be in the 8K area for a complete D60 with an ARB. If you buy a good low mileage axle from a scrapyard, and even throw the Dynatrac free spin kit on it, you'll be considerably lower. See what you can find, I'm not sure what these axles are selling for. You can go all the way back to 05. ---

Re: Handling Differences Between SMB and Quigley Conversions

I was under the impression that the Sportsmobile conversion had a tighter turning radius than the Quigley

SMB has a tighter turning radius than the old Quigley, the newer ones I'm not so sure about, I think someone said they're nearly the same.

Re: Handling Differences Between SMB and Quigley Conversions

The Quigley turning radius is 49.4' curb to curb on the Ford and 49.2' on the GM.
