Hey everyone... New Quigley owner needs some input

Hey everyone, I recently bought a used 2000 Chevy express Quig... what a fantastic vehicle. only had it 3 weeks and it's been from NC to CO. What a comfy truck. The inside is just 4 captains chairs with an open rear to haul my racebikes in the future. does anyone know if the bumpers are specific for express vans or are there any bumpers that will interchange.. I want fabfour heavy duty bumpers but most don't make any specific for vans. also, is there a site besides sportsmobile or quigley that sells 4x4 van specific stuff? thanx for the help.

Ive look at Aluminess... they make some great stuff. It has a solid front axle. just started to look for stuff for it. I think tires are first for the winter but after driving back from CO we almost hit 5 different animals so maybe a slayer front bumper is in order...

Aluminess is the way to go (I have to admit bias as they do a phenomenal job supporting the forum: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=4898).

Reunel are an option for a different look, the height of the van should help as much as anything since they don't have the tubes wrapping over the lights. Search Jeffery to pictures of his van with them, and then Myriadmyriad has something that looks like a tube baja deal, but I can't remember the brand.

Not sure if any of them fit Chevy, but that's a good looking van. A nice offroad bumper wouldn't hurt though!

Re: Hey everyone... New Quigley owner needs some input

btw.. first thing is first... going to get it into the bodyshop before the nasty Iowa winter/salt destroys it. I found a couple rust spots so they will be fixed and then Im going to Rhino line the under carriage and the side up to the first body line and around the wheel flairs....

also.. I have 275/55/20 street tires on it and it already rubs a little. Im thinking about cooper LTZ 275/50/20.. do you think a 275/45/20 would be a little better if I decide to really offroad this thing?

For solid axles and vans and lifts, there's only one man. Check out http://ujointoffroad.com/. Chris really knows his stuff. He sponsors another forum that may offer more info.
