Hi-Lift Jack Extreme: 48'' versus 60''?

Does anyone have an insight on the 48 inch over the 60, or vise versa? It seems that the specs are the same for both. The 60 inch model is quite long and difficult to mount in a clean manner (e.g., on the front Aluminess bumper, it pokes out the ends; on the van interior, it can't be mounted upright).

Many thanks in advance! pd

Ok, I see how you mounted it. Very slick. That looks quite clean. Are those garage-built brackets?

I went with the long version cause there are times when you might need all the lift you can get. Also the gray model is rated closer to vans of our weight.

Lots of info here:

Are you able to lock the jack to the Aluminess brackets or do you use a cable lock or "other"?

Mine is pad locked on but I'm using the Yakama mounts. Those have a bracket for pad locks

Cool Mount and Clean install. I'll have to get a set.
