Question That Bed!

7 gallon water jug in the step with a pump on top- no winterizing!
Folding beds can be built light.
This is my issue with any SMB type build - they are heavy from the get go. But that is the nature of 4x4 van potentially outfitted to do everything.
They are beautiful machines when complete.
Hello, I set up my 08 E350 Quad Van very simply for camping when I first got it. Now planning a rebuild for more convenience, like not having to set up the camp cot each night. I really, really like your fold down bed. Would greatly appreciate any more info you care to share. Like dimensions, materials, weight, what you like about it, and don't like, if anything. Thanks in advance.

Weighed mine on the way to Oregon for the 4x4 swap. E350 RB, V10, 20 inch Fiberine aero top, tongue and groove wood interior, bed, ICECO 60 fridge, 2 100ah AGMs, all the camping goodies loaded, full of gas and me in it: 7160 on a CAT scale.

At the end of the month I'll know what it weighs with 4x4 and a roof rack.

With the 4x4, rack, sliders, full of camping gear, and both of us in it, 8500 per Oregon scales.
