Looking for 4x4 Mud Flaps Photos and Ideas

Can people share some brackets and custom ways they mounted mud flaps on a 4 x 4 Van? I have a E 350 and I believe I need to fabricate a bracket to the frame in order for them to fit. I would rather not screw into the metal exterior. Thanks again.

Thanks, how well do they hold up to mud and snow? I really want to avoid drilling into the paint so thinking of fabricating something into the actually wheel well.

Thanks for the photos, I think I am going to try and fabricate something similar but I would rather not screw into the metal/ blue paint. I was thinking of going into the wheel well somehow. Do you have close up pics of the brackets? Thanks

Its just a simple L bracket into existing frame holes. I did put a screw into the fender lip to stabilize the outer end. They held up in the extreme mud (6+" thick on the side steps) on the Dalton Highway last year.

I did it this way, the holes were still in the body, no idea if it was original? But to trill there should no problem for you.

I added mud flaps but didn't want big muthers on my van, just something to keep the law off my back. I guess they're supposed to be lower or at the center of the axle. These are right on the mark.

Very similar to schluchtenflitzer mounting.

Dave, there can't be mud without water, so what are you worried about?

Re: Looking for 4x4 Mud Flaps Photos and Ideas

I welded up some brackets that clamp to the house battery brackets and a single bolt on the pinch seam. They worked great for my Utah trip, except I got lazy and didn't take them off for my off-road portion of the trip. The passenger side must have vibrated loose and fell off somewhere between the Hans Flat Ranger Station and Hwy 24. They were pretty easy to make and were rock solid, except of course when one fell off.
