I waited >2 months to receive our recovery boards purchased from Maxtrax USA. They spent weeks on a freighter near LA waiting to be unloaded
Cost/pair is a lot more than 5 years ago when this thread began.
I attached them to my spare tire using a lockable GP Factor mounting bracket.

Looks like a nice mount! $300 is spendy.

Life would be so much easier (and cheaper) if people wouldn’t steal your stuff. I have a separate key ring for all the locks used in and on my van and it keeps getting keys added.

Yes. An expensive item for sure. But for me, (sans roof or side racks) it was the most practical place to store them. I used a combo lock to avoid more keys

Just cut some 3/8” rebar to the right lengths then mig welded it together. Ground some, then rattle canned the semi gloss black onto the whole thing. Then I used hose clamps to attach it to the Baja box.

Yakima locks. Mine are all keyed alike. Between ski racks, kayak racks, bike racks, Hi-Lift Jack racks, maxtrax racks I use only one key. Awesome and adaptable to almost any solution with their available parts.
