Looks good! Is that a diesel? Which front spring did you go with? What size rear wheel adapter?

I kept the springs that where on the Ambulance.

I went with a 1.5" rear wheel adapter to match the front axle track width. (2 PCs 1.5" 38mm Thick 8 Lug 8x6.5 / 8x165.1 to 8x170 wheel adapters
14x1.5 Studs $43.95)

My 18" wheels have a -12mm offset.

My wheels are -12 offset as well, 17x9. How wide are yours? Those are aluminum adapters? I was thinking about running something similar because those steel spacers cost as much as a sterling 10.5! Lol

Hello,
My name is Jacob and I’m new to this forum and have a few question. I used the search feature and read a few threads but thought I would ask just to make sure before I order. I have a 2002 E350 7.3 that I will be doing the MG Metal Works Kit on, I already have a Dana 60 front and a Sterling 10.5 rear that are being freshened up with 4.30’s, Detroit locker in the rear, and air locker in the front. I’m ready to order tires and wheels. I’m looking at 17x9 8x170 -14mm offset wheels. will they clear with the MG kit? I noticed Advbob and kiwi are running 18x9 with -12mm and they clear so 17x9 at -14mm should push the wheel away from the suspension another 2mm unless I’m mistaken? (Wich does happen quite often) I want to run 35/12.5r17 tires. Thanks for sharing all this information and thanks in advance for any and all help.

I have 18x9, -12mm offset (4.5" backspacing) wheels on my personal van. We've put stock Ford wheels on a few vans which have even more backspacing. At least one van I know of has bro wheels (10 or more inches wide and sticks out way too far in my opinion). Lots of different sizes will work. I personally like 17 or 18 x 9 with 4.5-5.5" of backspacing. There are a good number of options to choose from in this range.

The thing to be mindful of with 17s is that some of them won't clear the big brakes on '13+ axles.

Here is a link to a good diagram of backspace vs offset

Thanks for your reply.
I’m wanting to run 17’s and beadlocks because we will be on the beach a lot in Mexico and I want to be able to air down as much as possible. 2mm is roughly 3/4”, do you think it will make that much of a difference? There is a few options for beadlocks in -14mm or 3.5 but I’m having trouble finding 4.5’s

I’m running pre 13 axles with the smaller rotors. I found a good deal on them

Oops. So a 17x9 -14mm is roughly a 4.5” backspacing?
