Stabilizers are a band aid not a fix. I'd figure out why you have a wobble first.

Also, if Moog CC880s springs are rated at 3006 lbs/ea but they're progressive, and I have 3920 lbs on the front axle currently but plan on adding a bumper + winch (so, another 2-300 lbs?) is that a decent fit/pairing? Are those of you with 7.3s running these springs? I'm more after a compliant ride for rough roads than I am a corner carver. The radius arms and possibly going to hellwig sways should help handle the corners while still on pavement.

Speedometer calibration on 1998 E350

I need to calibrate the speedometer on my 1998 E350 V10/4R100. I am going to use a Dakota Digital signal modifier. I have done this before on an F350 without any issues. On the 1998 E350, there are wheels sensors on the front and a single sensor on the rear diff. I also believe there is another sensor on the tailshaft of the transmission. Where should I tap in to modify the signal? Which wire do I need to use?

I've got the MG kit installed with 2010 F-350 4.10 axles. I'm currently running 2WD with the original transmission.

I used the Abbott ERA and wired it in line with the Speed sensor from the tail housing of the transmission. Grey wire from the speed sensor on my 2000 7.3 4R100. I don't have experience with Dakota but would imagine it would take the signal from the same sensor.

Thank you. So cut the gray wire at the transmission tailhousing sensor and install the signal modifier. Then adjust as necessary? I appreciate your help. I am assuming you are talking about a 2WD transmission.

I converted mine to 4x4 but sensor is the same. Yes cut the grey wire and connect the wire coming from the sensor to the ERA input then the output from the ERA back to the grey wire which will go to the ECM. The signal comes from the VSS to the ERA (white wire) then from the ERA (blue wire) to the ECM.

Going from memory I set mine to a ratio of 0.166. My actual GPS tracked speed was 10MPH and my speedo showed 60MPH before I installed the ERA. so 10 divided by 60 = 0.166. It is perfectly matched to my GPS now.

Keep in mind I am assuming that the wiring is the same from 1998 to 2000 and I am running 35" tires and .430 gears. Hope this helps. PM me if you still need help and I can give you my number to talk through it.

Hello, I have been looking through this thread for a while. I have an 08 E350 and I am looking to put together a parts list for my conversion. I see a couple lists on this thread but I want to be certain I know what all I need. Can someone quote or direct me to a list. I just am very new to searching for parts lists. I have possible donor vehicles available for the swap parts. Also the MG kit is just the brackets and hardware needed correct? Thanks.
