Hey ScrapIron, no progress reports. They're in the process of rebuilding the rear end and transmission, so nothing dramatic to show there. Tim said it would take 5-6 weeks, so that puts it at July 30th- August 6th. I don't expect any pictures or reports for another week or two. I'll make sure they gets pictures of the Timberline rear leaf springs suspension, which Tim says will make a dramatic difference.

The lift, transmission rebuild, and gas tank modification are complete. They put it on Roller wheels to get it to the exhaust shop. Then, differential and transfer case install.

Tim at Timberline sent some fresh pictures of the van. he says the back end will settle down, plus I really don't have any weight back there - can't hurt the departure angle.

We're currently talking about putting larger tires on.

I'm pretty stoked to get it back. I put the deposit down in November 2020, dropped off the van June 25th. I do not know how you folks can wait 2-3 years for a new build. I've been dying waiting for this. We pick it up August 17th and hit the Colorado Mountains for a shakedown cruise.

(That last picture is before.)
