Outer tie rod end - part source / number

Hey guys,

This is for my '08 Ford E350 Quigley 4x4.

So this week I was having the van worked on while I was returned home for a quick visit to family. Had some front end knocking noise that I wanted checked out and the mechanic said the drag link end and right outer tie rod end needed to be replaced. However, they said they can't source a part for the outer tie rod end because of the quigley 4x4 conversion and a stock tie rod end won't fit or something (they didn't exactly give me a good reason).

Does anyone have experience with this? I was thinking about contacting Quigley and seeing if they could ship a part to the mechanics shop. The shop was also saying I should take the van to 4wheelparts because they can deal with aftermarket 4x4 setups. Maybe this mechanic just doesn't want to deal with my van or something but any thoughts would be appreciated. I thought the front axel on quigley 4x4 conversions were basically straight off of F350s?

I have the part number list from quigley and the only mention of tie rods are here:

1 . 000 BClA p > .3A131-7C3Z-E STEER TIE ROD LS 07-09E 4X4
1. 000 BClA p > .3A131-7C3Z-H STEER TIE ROD RS 07-09E 4X4

That looks like a FMC part number but maybe I'm wrong. Quick check seems to agree with me: https://www.fordpartsgiant.com/parts...z-3a131-h.html

Thanks

It appears that the parts are for a 2007 - 2009 Ford F-250/350 4x4 pickup.

But then again im no Quigley specialist. The following is the correct format for the ford part numbers.

7C3Z-3A131-E STEER TIE ROD left side
7C3Z-3A131-H STEER TIEROD right side

Email quigley your vin number and they will send you the build sheet for your van. It will have the part numbers used for every nut and bolt of your conversion.

I believe part "numbers" that start with "Q" are Quigley parts or modified by Quigley. Others are OEM.

You can always call as well and of course buy parts from them.

Thanks for the quick replies guys: I just got off the phone with Quigley and they said that the parts on the front axel can be looked up assuming a 2012 Ford F350 Super Duty (even though my van is an '08, I believe he said the parts are the same from year '05 to 2012). He gave me the MOOG part numbers for the right side outer tie rod and Right side drag link ends as below:

Tie Rod End: ES80755
Drag Link: DS300008

I relayed this info to the mechanic so hopefully they'll be able to finish the job now, I guess sometimes you have to hold the mechanics hand LOL.

Sounds like the shop should have what they need now.

I have provided part numbers for my Quigley van to a local shop as well.

I have had great service and support from Quigley and even had them go through the 4x4 system recently as we live less than 3 hours away.
