Quad Van + Agile RIP?

So, I just read through this entire thread:

My van is a Quad van conversion and I am considering the Agile RIP upgrade. It didn't look like anyone in that thread had done an upgrade to a Quad van. Looks like mostly Quigleys. (although I certainly could have missed it. . . . .)

Does anyone have any experience with the RIP and a Quad Van conversion?

Seems like they suffer from similar short comings (front end travel, etc.)

The 4" QuadVan package already has more travel than a Quigley. Also, QuadVan uses foam jounce stops which are compressible, instead of re-using the stock rubber wedges like Quigley, which are a harder compound because of the travel ratio of the original twin-beam axle.

That said.... not knowing which dampers you have, the RIP/FOX dampers could be an upgrade, possibly a big upgrade if you don't have the dual-Bilstein setup. Also if your van has put on some weight since the conversion, higher rated front springs can be beneficial too. Those do not need to come from Agile. I bought mine through my local alignment shop.

I LOVE my Quadvan/SMB!!!! If I never told you carringb...you and a few others really helped me make the decision to go Quadvan...THANK YOU!!! .That set up is GOLDEN!!!!! EVERY trip my wife and I talk about the great ride and handling!

2008 V8 Gas EB here. 2014 Quadvan conversion.

I have just the single bilsteins in the front.

So my questions goes the same way as the OPs: How much of an improvement would the RIP kit really be for me? - Any opinions?

This is for the front. In the rear I want to get rid of the lift blocks and sagging (stock) leafsprings. I plan on installing custom made spring packs from Agile and remove the blocks. Any advice there?

I have a 2014 Quadvan And installed the RIP package. It made a pretty big difference. Definitely worth it

I used to bottom out hard on frost heaves. I ended up going to high rate springs up front which solved the bottoming, but made for a brutal ride.

About a year ago I put the RIP on my Quadvan and it has made a noticeable improvement; I'd recommend the kit.

Thanks for all the replies. I think I am going to add that to the list.

I do a lot of driving on FS roads and it can be pretty brutal even on roads where my Tundra would just sail along.

I just added the Agile RIP & a set of custom rear springs. So far the rear is great, no more blocks plenty of spring to move though, best thing I have done to the van yet. The front I have not bottomed out yet or have not felt it the way I did before, it needs a breaking in and then I will be able to comment a bit better. So far well worth it.

I bet it varies... but ballpark what does / did the RIP package cost?

It really depends as you have to take a bunch of pictures of your van and then have them do there thing... I would check out AO website and send them an email. An E350 Quigley with Rip Kit with add a leaf is $1800.00 + range add a spring pack and you can double that to $3200.00
