Quigley Announcement on their website. Word for word.
Limited Time Offer
Convert Your Pre-Owned
If you have visited our web page, you are aware of Quigley Motor Company's policy of converting new untitled vehicles only. To every rule there is an exception!
In 2009, we have that exception. Significant changes in the 2009 Ford vans has left us with inventory that we can not use in our 4x4 conversion process for this year's van.
Therefore, the unique opportunity exists to have late model vans converted to 4 wheel drive. So for a limited time (as long as the inventory last) Quigley Motor Co., Inc. is offering to convert your pre-owned 2005 to 2008 Ford van to 4-wheel-drive.
All components used will be new and current for that model year. The cost of the 4x4 system will be the same as the current pricing of $10,795.00 and will carry a 12 month /12,000 mile warranty.
Contact our sales department for more details.

My guess is a sudden drop in demand has caused the inventory excess, not changes in 09. But I'm a cynic.
It's a good value and thoroughly engineered.

With the now standard Advance Trac RSC being added to ALL passenger vans it will be near impossible to add 4wd to those vehicles. LeadDoggy not sure about Advance Trac RSC on cargos.

Only up to about 20 MPH with the override button on the dash.
The owner's manual states that if you change wheels and or modify suspension (add lift) that the Advance Trac RSC will be adversly affected. And being that this system is a safety thing, (ya right) no one can alter any parameters in the computer.

Re: Quigley Announcement on their website. Word for word.
Interesting. According to an auto web page, Advance Trak is $600 option for cargo vans. So if it isn't ordered the vehicles should still be able to be modified as before. SMB's web site lists several 2009s available for 4x4 conversion, but only those with the V-10 or diesel. I'm sure since Quigley's conversion process is certified by Ford (drop shipment of new vehicles directly from the manufacturing plant) that they can't alter or disable the Advance Trak system if installed.
Interestingly, it doesn't look like you can order a diesel in the passenger van anymore. Ford has to pay an emissions penalty (which is passed onto buyers) for the 6.0 PSD because the 6.4 PSD won't fit into the van. The diesel now costs $7,500 extra vs. $800 for the V-10. I winced at paying $5K more. $6,700 buys a lot of gasoline.

Also, once the V10 option is added, a few other things are included such as the 6 speed trans. Still a deal. The 4R110 works great with the V10.

Re: Quigley Announcement on their website. Word for word.
I wonder if we'll be the last generation to enjoy full size, one ton vans. Anyone tried to buy a new full size Dodge van lately? Quigley may find themselves converting Sprinters to 4x4.
