Quigley ball joints

Hi gang,

Happy thanksgiving.

Contacted Quigley with my VIN and the parts they came up with is:

Upper Ball Joint A5CR-0005 in stock ($94.25/ ea)
Lower Ball Joint A5CR-0006 in stock ($146.75/ ea)
Upper Ball Jt Nut A5CR-0007 in stock ($13.25 / ea)
Lower Ball Jt Nut A5CR-0008 out of stock ($10.60 / ea)

are these parts available elsewhere besides Quigley? Online search yielded nothing when I entered those part #s.

Ball joints are not exclusive to Quigley. Just get specs on your front axle and match up with the correct ball joints.
I swapped out the unit bearings and upgraded my front end ball joints with Dynatrac free spin hub kit and their rebuildable ball joints.

2004 F350 ball joints should fit. My 2006 Quigley uses all 2004 F series parts for the axle. I’m not sure what ball joints you are after, but below is the tie rod & drag link MOOG part# for 2006 Quigley.

RS tie rod DS1439
LR tie rod ES3423
RS drag link DS1438
LS drag link ES3427T

On my 2006 vehicle the only special quigley parts for the front axle were disks, hubs & drag link adjuster bar. (Ignoring the control arms), everything else was ford OEM truck pats. I’ve since swapped the disks & hubs to standard F series parts (which meant new wheels as the F series uses a different bolt pattern).

Garage
Your build sheet from quigley should state exactly what front axle is on your van. Figure out what year fseries truck the axle is from and all the non quigley specific stuff should be available most everywhere. Our 2003 quigley has an 03 fseries axle and all the off the shelf stuff has been readily available any time I’ve needed to replace parts.

Also did the same as sheepshagger and converted to off the shelf hubs and rotors so I don’t have to rely on quigley for replacement parts.
