Quigley e350 cool spring selection
Hi all,
Sorted through as many threads as possible before posting my own. Have a 2000 quigley e-350 EB with F/R Dana 60’s and 5.4 v8. I installed the agile RIP kit with 3-leaf helper pack in the rear. No springs for the front, as Agile used Moog CC826 which are no longer available. I want to lift the front up a bit to better match the rear, but really to get a bit more articulation as there is almost no travel up front. So, my question is which spring set? And here are the stats:
Van weight front 3,560 lbs
Current springs: ford f2uz-5310-m. Can’t find any specs except quigley states load rating is 3,700lbs for the pair. And their height installed on my van is ~13”.
A cross reference gives Moog cc878, which aren’t the same as they’re progressive. I’m attaching stats for the 878, 826, 860, 860s, 880, and 880s. Pretty much ruled out 880s due to my light load. However, on paper the 880s looks a lot like my stock springs, though many use these to lift their vans? Don’t see much difference from 878. Worried the 860 will lift too high. I’m realizing I’m talking in circles without asking a single straightforward question. But what should I get!? Not enough info out there, with people listing their weights and before and after measurements.
