Quigley Front Differential ?

Planning on replacing the differential fluids out in my Quigley,,, it's raining it butt off outside and didn't feel like crawling in the mud,,,, as I've been doing research on doing it myself, came across that many front ford differential don't have drain plugs. However, this was mostly for the F150/250 models. Quigley uses the f350, and on schematics I see a drain plug.

Can anyone confirm that it does or doesn't? Just wanting to know, and don't have the patience to wait on weather.

You'll need to either confirm with Quigley based on the VIN or look underneath, but I would say that the vast majority (if not all) Quigleys have a drain.. they almost always have a Dana 60 front axle, but they have been known to change things around based on customer requests or parts availability.

No drain.

Just remove the front diff cover to drain it. Leave bolts in loose so it does not fall into the drain pan.

Reseal with silicone and no gasket .

P.s. You can also pump it out through the fill plug though this does not allow full drainage and inspection .

And I'm totally wrong. Although this all sounds familiar.

I would just pump it if it were mine if the cover is not leaking now. Harbor Freight sells a decent fluid hand pump for $7. Unless you do lots of 4x4 driving, it probably doesn't have much need for inspection inside unless you find stuff in the fluid (like shaving, chunks, chocolate milk, or rust). A few highway miles in 4x4 will warm it up a touch and make it pump out easier, and should also re-suspend any solids in there so they come out with the fluid.

My 2001 Dana 60 (out of a F350) housing or stock cover doesn't have a drain plug either. Removing the cover isn't tough, 9 hex bolts and one lower right allen bolt, drain pan at the ready, pop the cover loose at the upper corners. As Baja said, no gasket, RTV only.

You can confirm you've got a Dana 60 by looking at the cover and comparing bolt holes and shape.

I think a Dana 60 front holds 2 qts

No drain on my Dana 60 in a 2008 Quigley. I used a reusable lubelocker gasket like this on my Jeep and it seemed to work well. LLR-D060 LubeLocker Dana 60 - Lube Locker

While you are under your rig check your front diff breather tube. Mine was damaged from rubbing on the frame cross member and the breather vent cap was gone.
