RSC (roll stability control)

I did a search and found some differing opinions on RSC. I read that it is mandatory on all 2011 Ford E-series vans (both cargo and passenger). Is this a serious problem for future buyers who want to do a 4x4 conversion and install larger tires for off the highway use or bad weather? Hopefully, I can get a definitive answer from an informed, experienced automotive expert. If not, will settle for opinions and guesses. Stosh

Got an insider SMBW tip that they are able to convert 2011's to 4x4.

Re: RSC (roll stability control)

I've got RSC on my 2010 15 passenger van, and have no issues with a Camburg lift on it.

Re: RSC (roll stability control)

I have RSC / AdvanceTrac on my 2008 - both Quadvan and Quigley have confirmed that they can convert it to 4x4.

Re: RSC (roll stability control)

The RSC vans have been out since 2006, and plenty of them have been made into 4x4.

There are some restrictions, mainly a max center of gravity (39" I think), but the extra weight of the 4x4 components usually keeps the cG under that, and adding more fuel capacity and underfloor storage can also help drop the cg back down.
