SMB service in southern california

Hey Gang,

The Amsoil rep recommends Bob's brake and alignment in Lawndale, CA for routine service on the SMBs. Have any of you had any experience at this shop with your rigs. Any input will be much appreciated.

The guys at BBA are excellent. Do a search for more info. They know SMBs very well.

More importantly , they have SportsMobiles Blessings and will call Peter with any issues that are new or unfamiliar to them and they are very pleasant to deal with !

Seth at Mastercraft Motors in Santa Barbara. He owns a SMB and is a member here. Great guy, too.

Jeffrey, so Seth will work on SMBs? That's great to know and I do like to "keep it in the family" if possible.

+1 on Bob's at Lawndale. I have heard great reviews.

I thought Seth only worked on VW Westys with Subie conversion.

Re: SMB service in southern california

I service about a dozen local SMB's in the Santa Barbara area. I'm comfortable on the camper portion and all the mechanical maintaince. Brakes, belts, etc. I am not a diesel engine expert and have sent some diesel engine repairs away. I have installed several espar systems and other camper items. We are an AAA approved repair shop and have all ASE cert. techs. We mostly repair VW, BMW, Mercedes, and Ferrari but on any given day we might have anything in our shop. We are also a top of the line collision and body shop. I have repainted a couple SMB roofs as well. I welcome sportsmobiles but they not the "focus" of my business. It is interesting that when I have a SMB in the shop it gets as many comments from the customers as a Ferrari. One guy looked at a white SMB in my shop the other day with a raised top and said "What's that, the next space shuttle?"
