Spare Tire Cover
Looking for a source for a "quality", tight fitting spare tire cover. I would like the non-vinyl look, but easily washable. Does anyone use these or leave the stock tire/rim exposed as received from SMB?

I let it all hang out.... But my SMB is in a garage when not being used so ultraviolet is not a problem

I was thinking of having one made that could also hold trash but for now I lash a bag to the spare for this. My spare never stays on long enough to worry about sun and is kept in rotation.

spare tire cover
IN rotation, a good idea, but how does that work, since the days of radials they always swap front to back?

Patrick, I believe the rotation of the spare just means that it is rotated on the actual rear spare tire mount so the sun is not hitting the same place of the spare for a prolonged number of days.

Really? I always cross going to the front.
Even though I have full size spares on everything they never get in the mix: the SMB has a brand new spare I'm hoping to sell when I upgrade, the Jeep spare won't hold air for more than 3 days, and the f250 is a non-matching brand (need to crawl under and check it come to think of it)..
Both my exposed spares enjoy garage time, however I did use old sheets to protect my trailer tires in AZ... hey that's it, do the hillbilly seat cover style spare tire cover- stretch a tee shirt over it!

In my case it's easy, I have 8 rims and tires, 4 on the vehicle, 2 spares (1 on the van and 1 on the trailer), and 2 on the trailer. Did I say easy?

I bought a Bestop tire cover. It is still going strong after 5 years. It is a bit faded but doing the job.
