TruTrac

TruTrac is what I have going on 2 yrs in my van. Worked great on the beach in Baja, quiet, and never engages with a jolt.

Thanks for the input. That's what I'm looking for.

UPDATE:

I've been talking to Tim at Timberline and have my build planned. I'm glad I didn't wait any longer to contact him. My build is scheduled to be complete sometime in June and now they're to the September timeframe.

I decided to go with Detroit Trutrac in the rear (planetary gears) and a Detroit locker up front. It'll have custom Dana 60 Rear Full Float (Early Model 9.75" Ring Gear) AX33 Floater axle. Custom Timberline Leaf Spring Packs (In Lieu of Lift Blocks).

Method Racing bead grip wheels with Hankook Dynapro AT2 265/70R17 tires.

I'm pretty excited about it. Tim said, "I'm looking forward to this build. It'll be radical." Not sure that's what I was aiming at, but OK.

Honestly, a lot of this is Greek to me, but Tim did a good job of walking me through it in layman's terms.
