I can't figure out why SMB doesn't go that route. Perhaps liabilities and or parts issues. The wide tires, lights, flares and bumper make gives those a wide stance lower profile look. I'd much rather have one of those than the Fuso.

Wonder if the small engine in the Sprinter is up to a full camper conversion, 4x4 w/D60's, off-road tires etc.?

Good point. That's sort of the recipe for a Unimog, which I think has a top speed of 55-60mph unless heavily modified.

I wouldn't be surprised if in Europe they have a more powerful engine available than what is allowed here.
