Re: DOT approved beadlocks- Rockmonster

Good topic, nice pics.

Anybody interested in in DOT approved Rockmonster beadlocks?

I am trying to get Hutchinson to make me a set or do a production run that will fit our rigs when their current stock of 17's run out. All they need to do is make the bore diameter 5mm larger to accommodate our hub.

Anybody?

Pricey little buggers but man are they bada$$. I prefer the Jeep model than the one for the Ford trucks. Can you specify which one if they have to do an individual production run? Maybe it's the excuse I need to get bigger brakes which means a rim change from 16 to 17 or 18".

I don't have any. I lifted the pic from the monster site in response to fmwc's post regarding putting in a custom order.

Mike,

I'd say! How do you drive your rig with the trailer in front?

He only drives in reverse. That way it doesn't show up on the odometer.

Re: Rock Monster Beadlocks

So here's what I know...

I talked to Mike at Rock Monster Sales about getting a set of wheels for a 2010 SMB. He said he doesn't make any that fit a Ford after 2006. Check out the website. P/N WA-1248.

He indicated that GM HD P/N WA -1174 or Dodge P/N WA-1175 could work but the bore would have to be machined to 4.92" to fit a 2010 Ford hub.

My assumptions are that to fit a SMB (2010) the wheel needs to be 17 x 9 or 8.5, 8 on 6.5, with a backspace of 4.5" or less so that it doesn't rub anywhere.

I not a mechanic or teck guy but these wheels would be awesome! I like to air down my tires but it's a little freaky when your out there.... It would be great to have Beadlocks.

He is looking into machining a set for me but with enough interest maybe they would produce a number of outer wheel halves to fit our trucks and everyone else that owns a ford.

Comments please.
