Additionally ---
A rear lift, especially with the extra chassis dynamics and load/torque forces experienced by the rear axle/springs
while towing.....this doesn't seem like the place to do anything that's "only half-way to the proper solution" either. JHMO!
By the way --- just reading up about the shackle flip approach to suspension lifting. Seems like a lot of off-road/Jeep/rock-crawler guys really dig it! But I'm also reading some cautions about using it on a vehicle you tow with....not sure exactly what the force-diagrams would indicate, but you are indeed changing the rear shackle from acting as a tension structure to a compression structure.
