Hi. A little help is needed. I'm currently trying to do the brakes on my SMB 4x4. I have all of the parts listed on the sheet and started the process of opening the rotor holes to 11/16 as suggested in the sticky. I tried to test a stud and it just dropped in. Obviously something is amiss. Here are the part numbers of what I am using.
Dorman studs 610-283
Auto Specialty rotors AR8553
I ran over to Napa to check the
NAPA # 641-2794 Wheel Studs
mentioned by Staussmobile to see if they had a larger shoulder or knurl to fit the 11/16" hole and they are actually smaller than the Dorman studs. I haven't actually pulled my hubs apart to see how everything goes together, But am I correct in thinking the studs are pressed into the rotor and then that assembly fits over the hub?
On later Fords (my 2012 for example), the studs are pressed into the hub. The rotor then easily fits over the studs. No press fit there. Not sure about 2008 vans.
