Update!! Need good place for brake/front end work in Denver

After posting the message below, the van also developed the dreaded Death Wobble whenever it hit a pot hole. I was not able to get to any of the mechanics recommended here for various reasons, but thanks to all who responded.

But I did find a good one and I'd like to give 'em a plug. Walker Transmissions (bad name - they do everything including 4WD) in Wheat Ridge (metro Denver area).

They got me in right away and did an excellent job on the van. Replaced steering shock, 2 tie rod ends, cleaned up sticky brake caliper. Reasonable charges and they didn't pad the work. They said a couple of other tie rod ends were worn but should be good for another 30-40K miles.

Great shop, friendly people, highly recommended!!

================================================== ==================================
Help!! Just arrived in Denver after 5 days from Calif and I need to have the brakes looked at. They pull to the left, but only intermittently. It seem worse braking from high speed but some times it pulls hard and other times it's just barely noticeable.

Anyhow - Who can recommend a good shop in Denver for an E350 w/Quigley front end? Ford dealers need not apply.

Thanks in advance - I'll check back in the morning before I grab the Yellow pages.

Re: Need good place for brake/front end work in Denver ASAP

I'm in boulder and have a shop here, pellmans, they can do a brake job for sure. If it's a matter of replacing rotors, it wont be an easy off the shelf swap, if you're like me, quigley adapted the front studs from 8X170 to 8X6.5 to match the rear. I'm looking at cryo power slots but have to find a shop to convert the bolt pattern. A lot of the guys over on thedieselstop forum recommend rockin s performance in ft lupton, a jaunt north of Denver, east of 470. Good luck. Get in touch if you make it up to boulder. There are several diesel performance shops, like ATS, with some not so great reviews.

Thanks for the ideas Rick. Pellmans can't see me until Friday and Rockin S will look at it tomorrow. I'm still open to other suggestions for today if possible..

One shop suggested Green Mt Auto in Denver, but they have terrible reviews.

Antero Automotive. South Side Denver but I take all my non-warranty work there and trust them.

Not sure if you got this figured out but I have had my SMB into 4 wheel parts out on Havana. They should have all the part numbers cross-referenced in their system for my Quigley.
