Van 4x4 in Russia

In Russia too there are fans vans 4x4. We have here the big difference with practice in America. Therefore some our decisions will seem to you strange. But it simply adaptation to our conditions...

I began the work from construction E150 1986. It had very beautiful kind. But I very much began to build it. It is so tired, that I have put on sale this van...

It was the long history. I have written about it here:

http://broncoline.narod.ru/

Even if you do not read in Russian, you will see there much photo, it is instructive...

But recently I became owner E350 4x4 from Quigley. It is the new project, I hope to make it real truck for travel... I write about the projects on Cardomain, for example here:

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3830313

This beginning of a way. I hope, this van will be put on 35 " and will receive beautiful interior. I make it by the hands and I am helped by my friends. In Russia there is no other way to receive van 4x4...

Sorry, if I have placed it incorrectly. I ask moderators to correct a mistake...

Re: Van 4x4 in Russia

Good looking vans... something about them being so far away in Russia makes them look cooler.

Also- Google Translate:

Works both ways, copy and paste or put in a URL.

Re: Van 4x4 in Russia

In Russia is crazy masters which built vans 4x4. Some trucks are shown here:
http://broncoline.narod.ru/buss.htm

Is as vans which have received 4x4 in US, on Quigley or other studio. But all this vans can be counted on fingers, I know all (even in absentia...)

The main Russian van 4x4 it UAZ "Buhanka". It is serial auto which are made by factory in Ulyanovsk. It have created 40 years ago, it is similar on very old Dodge or Chevy.

It has true 4x4 part-time, solid axles on springs. It has unification with other Russian jeep - UAZ "Kozel".

It very-very archaic mobils though it make even now. Even my the first van ?150 1986 is much more comfortable and more convenient. It is thought up for army where soldiers do not demand comfort, and want to survive.

These Russian vans 4x4 it is made hundred thousand, it is very mass car. Therefore it is impossible to tell, that in Russia van 4x4 is an exotic. In Russia exotic - that you discuss in this forum and that I build...

Re: Van 4x4 in Russia

Welcome and thanks for the pics.

They may be old, but I know that Russia makes some tough 4x4 vehicles.

The big Kaz 4x4 trucks are used regularly in what most would consider brutal conditions.

Re: Van 4x4 in Russia

Probably you wanted to tell KAMAZ.

It is sports heavy truck, it is made for competitions. But there are also others serial heavy trucks, it is strong and reliable.

These trucks are made for army (though have also civil versions).

But it no vans for travel, this another...
