Lol my Sportsmobile has so many holes drilled in the floor for water lines, propane lines, electrical lines, and grey/black water that water could enter any of them before it got to the boot of the Quigley stick.

Nearly 30 year old silicone wouldn't be able to handle 3rd world country road style water crossings.

Tire deep is about all I would ever go. It is an RV not a monster truck

I live in a developing country, so those crossings is all I have around here

I want to make sure water/mud splashing will not get into the cabin through that hole...I'm going to have to come up with a solution. I already use a layer of thick plastic to seal the upper part, but I'm going to need to do the same with the underside.

Yeah a double layer rubber gasket would work wonders for you.

How do you keep mosquitoes out? Lol

Garage
There’s a hole under the black plastic step just inside the door on the drivers side. Iirc, the ebrake cable runs through it. I only noticed it when I took the plastic out for some reason and there was a ton of dirt underneath, so I poked around till I understood where the source was. Mine is an 03, so not sure they are all that way, but mine definitely has a big hole that water can just freely flow into it submerged.

Watch out for "salty" or sea water - tidal rivers are salty - grease in wheel bearings is not "marine grease" - unless you've changed it out ? Toast to the bearings !
